The Problem Warden Solves
Every Workspace ONE UEM environment accumulates noise over time. Stale devices that haven’t checked in for months. Failed enrollments that never completed. Pending wipes that were never confirmed. Duplicate device records from re-enrollments. Orphaned user accounts left behind after offboarding.
This clutter is more than cosmetic — it inflates your device counts, distorts your compliance reporting, and in many cases directly affects your licensing costs. Cleaning it up manually is tedious, error-prone, and rarely happens on a consistent schedule.
Warden fixes this by running automatically, following rules you define, with safety mechanisms that make it impossible to accidentally delete something important.
Safe by Design
Before we talk about what Warden cleans up, it’s worth explaining how it stays safe — because this is where we spent the most engineering time.
Every tenant starts in Dry Run mode. Warden shows you exactly what it would delete before it deletes anything. Switching to live execution requires a deliberate toggle and typing the tenant name as confirmation.
Staged deletions mean nothing is removed the first time it is seen. A finding must persist for a wait period you set — days, weeks, whatever you choose — and still match the rule on the action day. A device that comes back online during the wait period is automatically cleared from the queue.
Hard guards cannot be turned off: user accounts with enrolled devices are never deleted, and any object you explicitly exclude is never touched regardless of what the rules say.
Every decision Warden makes — including protective skips — is recorded in a full audit trail that you can export to CSV.
What Warden Cleans Up
Device rules:
- Stale devices — not seen for N days (you set the threshold)
- Duplicate serials — keeps the newest enrollment, flags the rest
- Enrollment status — failed enrollments, pending wipes, and any status you list
User rules:
- Duplicate users — only zero-device accounts are ever removed
- Inactive users — disabled accounts, optionally after N days
Each rule runs on its own daily, weekly, or monthly schedule and can be report-only or set to delete after a wait period you choose.
Built for Multiple Tenants
Warden includes a fleet dashboard that gives you per-tenant health at a glance — findings counts, history charts you can hover for exact numbers, and consistent color coding for every rule across every view. A menu bar item shows at-a-glance status without opening the app.
